| Comments: | Part 2 (Con't from Part 1 below) Pres Bush promised to legislate measures that will reduce future possibility of devastating fires like ours. Thank God for the wonderful memory of our 45th Class Reunion.It was a thrill to be with you all! For those of you who couldn't be there:we MISSED you & hope to see you at our next one! Our outstanding committee obviously spent a lot of time & effort planning & organizing all the activities.They did an awsome job at making it fun for all at a very low cost.All the special details such as Kathy's beautiful commemorative booklet & special edition of bottled wine created by her son,Micheal,for everyone of us...as well as Mary Anne & Jack Milbauer providing that big gazebo for our barbeque followed by giving us luxurious cruises around Sackets Harbor in their beautiful "Irish Eyes" boat...And Carolyn Demo Cole's gift of bracelets which we treasure...all point to great generosity for which we are most grateful!We truly have a unique & exceptional |

| Comments: | Just got back from a trip to the coast to get away from the smoke filled air.When I came back from our fantastic reunion, I found the state of Oregon filled with smoke from the devastating fires that have destroyed millions of beautiful forested acres.It has been tragic for those living in the burning areas & having to evacuate to safety as well as horrendeous for the firefighters who have come from around the world to help fight the fires.Here, in Medford, where I have lived the last 5 years, we are not in immediate danger but the fires were burning less than 20 miles away at one time.We've only suffered the inconvenience of having to stay indoors & keeping all our windows & doors closed to prevent breathing problems.We also miss our beautiful views since we've become engulfed with thick smoke covering everything with a grey ash.Today, however,our spirits have been lifted with a visit from President Bush to our town.After surveying the scorched areas, he gave a great speech promising |

I voted for reunions every five years because tht's all I'm fairly certain (Lord willin' and the creek don't rise)we could make. Sorry Carole couldn't make it this time. It's difficult for her to leave her parents for any length of time. Earlier this year her brother took time off and came down from Denver so that she could go with me to visit my family in Wisconsin and Chicago. It's difficult. However, if there is/are reunion(s) before our fiftieth, keep me informed. We/I might be able to make it. - Jim |

| Comments: | Since returning home, have spent several w/ends in Sturgeon Bay, WI - on the boat. Really wish we were still in Sacket's so we could spend more time with everyone. Will just have to hope we can do it again next summer! Our oldest daughter will be making us grandparents for the first time this November, so figure we may get involved with that. But our door is ALWAYS open! Would love to see anyone traveling out this way. Loved the reunion, as you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who planned the wonderful w/end.
